I learned a cool trick today from a FB group post. This is 404: Soul Not Found Mooncat with flat fridge magnet effect. I’ve been playing with magnets and polish all day!
Can you share the link for this method? It looks amazing

You use the flat, cheapie promotional fridge magnets that businesses hand out

there is info in the official mooncat facebook group if you search the group for “fridge magnet”. You basically just find a flat broad fridge magnet that makes lines hovered over magnetic polish.
This is groundbreaking! It makes sense, flat fridge magnet with like the magnet sheet on the back, the poles are all stacked. Hence the pattern

The method I used: Fridge Magnet Decals –
Take a flat fridge magnet and cover the back with clear packing tape (for smooth surface).
Paint 10 patches a little bigger than your nails. Three to four coats.
The hard part is waiting for them to dry… I used this time to apply my usual nail strengthener (LynB) and base coat (Cracked) to my nails. Then I added an extra layer of sticky base coat (Cracked) for good measure but this may not be necessary.
Once your patches are dry, peel them up from the tape using the flat edge of your fine point tweezers.
Place them on your nail carefully and then trim the edges by perforating around them with an orange stick.
Fold over the extra at the tip to wrap the backside of your free edge.
I topped with DRK Seal Glaze to prevent diffusion.
Once that dried I added QDTC (Cuticula).
Clean around edges with acetone and a good clean up brush. You won’t hurt it. It actually makes the sides lock down better.
I hope this helps. I had heard of this method but until someone explained it more in depth I just couldn’t wrap my brain around it. The post I saw was in the unofficial mooncat FB group and was made by Erin Chavez. MUCH thanks to her! 🤗
